Stopping Mold Before It Starts
Most heaters just try to warm up the air, which is fine if you’re cold, but it doesn’t do much for the walls. We do things differently using shortwave infrared (SWIR). Instead of just heating the air, these lamps send out waves that actually soak into the moisture hiding in your grout and sealant. It’s a bit like a deep clean, but with heat. By warming up the walls and ceiling quickly, we force that trapped water to evaporate. This dries out the exact spots where mold spores love to hang out. You end up with a drier room without having to rely entirely on a loud, clunky exhaust fan.
The Nitty-Gritty on Setup
We use high-density quartz glass because these things get hot—fast. The second you flip the switch, you feel the heat. This is great because it kills that “cold-start” condensation that usually makes old heaters feel damp and useless. One heads-up though:check your wiring. These lamps pull a decent amount of power when they first kick in. If your circuit is old or under-powered, you’ll be tripping your breakers. It’s worth having an electrician double-check your load capacity before you install them.
