How it actually works

The nitty-gritty on the build
The heating element lives inside a high-purity quartz tube. We make sure these are tough enough to handle being switched on and off all day without cracking. And that mirror? It’s not just for looks. It acts like a reflector, pushing all those IR rays forward toward the person using it. This means less energy is wasted heating up the wall behind the unit. We also pay a lot of attention to the wiring. We use R7s snap-in connectors so you can swap them out quickly in the field. Plus, we use gold-plated or heavy-duty nickel contacts. Why? Because bathrooms are damp. If you use cheap contacts, they’ll pit and corrode, and suddenly your voltage drops and the heater underperforms.
A couple of things to keep in mind
This kind of heat density is powerful, but it comes with a few quirks. Since these units get hot fast, the housing has to be rated for high temperatures. If it’s not, you’ll end up with a warped mirror frame. Also, keep an eye on your electrical panel. These units can cause a bit of a current surge when they first kick in. If you’re putting a few of these in one area, make sure your breakers can handle the total wattage. Otherwise, you’ll be tripping the power right in the middle of the morning rush.
