IR is intense. If you mount the heater too close to a plastic curtain rod or a favorite piece of furniture, you might end up melting something. Just be mindful of where you point it. And a pro tip on the sensors: don’t put your thermostat right in the line of fire. If the sensor feels the direct beam of the heater, it’ll think the whole room is boiling and shut everything off while you’re still shivering. Tuck the sensor away from the direct heat so the system knows when the room is actually warm, not just the sensor.
