The heart of it is a quartz-encased halogen lamp, designed to heat up fast and pack a lot of heat into a small space. The halogen cycle does its job, keeping the filament stable so the output stays strong over time—no dimming. The quartz envelope handles sudden temperature swings and resists contamination, which is a big deal in dusty or oily air. And the connector? We went with an R7s. It’s a proven, two-pin setup that makes lamp swaps a straight drop-in. No messing around with custom terminals.
Where It Shines: PET Blowing and Packaging Lines
On PET blowing lines and packaging lines, you need heat that turns on instantly and stays steady. This setup does exactly that. It hits temperature quickly and holds the setpoint without a long warm-up wait. The fan spreads the heat evenly, so you don’t get hot spots that can cause webbing or uneven stretching. **But here’s the trade-off:**2500W at 400V is serious heat density. Make sure your machine’s cooling and ventilation are up to the task, so the surrounding electronics and motors stay within safe temperature limits.
